Mr Pilcher

Posted: 24th May 2022

The BMAT community are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Sir Frederick Gibberd College’s Classics and Latin teacher Chris Pilcher.

Mr Pilcher joined SFG in September 2020 as a trainee, part of the pioneering team that launched the school. As a newly qualified teacher in September 2021, he joined full time where his passion for his subjects inspired a new generation of young people in Harlow.

“This is a very sad time for our community and for Mr Pilcher’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

“Our SFG family has lost a beloved member and words fail to describe our grief. Mr Pilcher may no longer be with us, but he will forever be in our hearts.” Dee Conlon, SFG Headteacher.
