Like all schools, SFG is no different in that it raises funds through various activities during the year. Fundraising is coordinated and organised by the Fundraising Committee comprising governors, parents, staff and pupils. It is chaired by the Headteacher.
The Committee meets monthly. Reports to the LGB and to parents through the regular school newsletter.
The Fundraising Committee is determined to bring the SFG community and our local community together through a range of events that are enjoyable and appeal to our families whilst raising funds for the school.
How the funds are used is decided by the staff. We have the following guiding principles when making decisions on spending:
- Experiences that enrich children's lives.
- Most of the children will benefit/participate.
- Cannot be purchased with the school budget.
