MP Takes Questions From Sixth Form Students to Coincide with UK Parliament Week

Posted: 5th November 2021

As part of UK Parliament Week, Sixth Form Students took part in a virtual question and answers session with a sitting member of parliament.

Phillip Davies, MP for Shipley took part in a remote question and answers session whereby students from schools all over the country could submit questions in the virtual chat box.

These questions were selected by the Event Leader and put to Mr Davies which covered; misogyny, racism, Brexit, same-sex marriage and gender fluidity.

Matthew Yerosimou, Head of Year 12 said: “It was great for our students to take part in this session and to hear their passionate views from across the political spectrum.”

Olivia Ionanou, Year 12 Politics Student said: “I didn’t necessarily agree with everything that he said. I liked the format and how the Event Leader wasn’t avoiding controversial questions.

“This made the whole session feel authentic, it was fascinating to see how a politician deals with difficult questions and how they put their views across.”
