Sir Frederick Gibberd College Welcomes Jo Doyle as Headteacher
Posted: 1st July 2025Sir Frederick Gibberd College is pleased to welcome the appointment of Ms Jo Doyle into her role as Headteacher from Monday 3rd November 2025.
Ms Doyle joins the school from Rokeby School in Newham, where she has served as a highly successful and respected leader.
Ms Doyle will succeed Mr John Blaney, who has served as Executive Headteacher during the interim period. SFG would like to extend its sincere thanks to Mr Blaney for his expertise, dedication, and leadership throughout the transition.
Helena Mills CBE, CEO, BMAT Education said: “We are delighted to welcome our new Headteacher to the SFG school community. I am very much looking forward to working alongside them as they bring a wealth of experience, strong leadership, and a clear vision for continued school improvement.
“I am confident that, under their leadership, the school will go from strength to strength.”
Mr Tom Street, Executive Secondary Lead for BMAT, said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Jo in her role to continue driving the improvements already identified for our school."
He continued: “It was very important to us that we took the necessary time to select the very best — and the right — person to lead our school and support our pupils. We are confident that we have done just that.”
